Donna Chiapperino was named president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc.
Ms. Chiapperino is director of marketing for Jimcor Agencies in Montvale, N.J. The firm has offices in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Plainview, N.Y., and other locations throughout the Northeast Region.
An active member of PIANY, Ms. Chiapperino is vice president of the nominations committee and a member of the Hudson Valley Regional Awareness Program and the Executive/Budget & Finance Committees.
She also is an active past-president of the New York Young Insurance Professionals.
On a National level, Ms. Chiapperino is a member of the PIA National Insurance Foundation Board of Directors and chairs the PIA National Young Insurance Professionals Advisory Council.
The association also announced the naming of the following officials:
o Rich Savino was named president-elect. He is partner, president and chief executive officer of Warwick Resource Group with locations in Warwick and Rockland counties in New York.
o Michael Skeele was named first vice president. He is president of Skeele Agency in DeRuyter, N.Y.
o Alan Plafker was named vice president. He is president and chief executive officer of Member Brokerage Service, LLC, in Briarwood, N.Y.
o Eugene Sandy was elected vice president. He is director of marketing for the Millennium Alliance Group, LLC, in Syosset, N.Y.
o John Parsons II was named treasurer. He is vice president of Parsons and Associates Inc. in Syracuse, N.Y.
o Kevin Ryan will serve as immediate past president. He is president and chief executive officer of The Valley Group Inc. in Kingston, N.Y.
o Michael Plafker, commercial lines customer service representative for Member Brokerage Service, LLC, in Briarwood, N.Y., was named president of the New York Young Insurance Professionals.
