Beginning in 2011, The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) will host its annual Wholesale Insurance Leadership Forum in Miami.
The meeting will be held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The move from California, CIAB said, will provide a more convenient East Coast location for the majority of attendees.
"The Mandarin Miami on Brickell Key is an excellent fit for this forum with easy access to an international airport at a venue conducive to the meeting's strong business focus," said CIAB President Ken A. Crerar in a statement.
The CIAB said the forum is designed exclusively for chief executive officers and top executives focused on elevating the role of wholesale distribution in the commercial property and casualty marketplace.
The event is driven by the Council's Wholesale Working Group, which is comprised of major wholesale brokers and managing general agents in the United States and abroad.
Neal Abernathy, CEO, president and member of the executive committee of the newly formed Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford Ltd., is the 2010-2011 Wholesale Working Group chair and will lead the forum this May.
The dates of the meeting for the next five years are as follows:
o 2011: May 9-11
o 2012: May 14-16
o 2013: May 13-15
o 2014: May 12-14
o 2015: May 11-13
