Arison Insurance Services Inc. has acquired Benefits Solutions LLC. The acquisition creates Arison's seventh regional office in Kentucky.
Previously known as Benefits Made Simple LLC, Benefits Solutions is one of the largest benefits agencies in the state. The brokerage manages health insurance, 401k plans and ancillary insurance products including life, disability, dental, vision, cancer and more for its diverse client roster.
David Combs, former CEO of Benefit Solutions, has been named director of ancillary products for Arison. Combs has more than 10 years experience in the insurance industry. The agency's additional staff will be retained.
Combs said the introduction of Federal Health Care Reform Legislation also played a major role in his decision to join Arison. Health Care Reform will change the way the health insurance industry works. Arison has made investments in personnel and technology in order to help clients adapt to the changes in benefits sales and services.
The purchase of Benefits Solutions is the first step in the aggressive acquisition strategy announced by Arison last year. The company has experienced significant growth since being purchased from Anthem by Assurance Investment Partners in July 2008.
Arison is poised for a second record-year of rapid business growth. Prior to the acquisition, staffing at rison had expanded more than 20 percent in the last year and more hiring is expected to support the new regional office in London, Ky.
