Bollinger Acquires David Szerlip & Assoc.

Short Hills, N.J.-based insurance broker Bollinger Inc. said it has acquired David Szerlip and Associates of Berkeley Heights, N.J.

Financial terms of the transaction were not released.

Szerlip specializes exclusively in property and casualty insurance programs for nonprofit organizations, ranging from large international nonprofits to small start-ups.

Mr. Szerlip will continue with Bollinger and serve as a senior vice president. He and his staff of four will relocate to Bollinger's Short Hills location later this month, Bollinger said.

"We strongly believe that the resources realized from this new relationship will greatly benefit our clients," said Mr. Szerlip.

This is the 45^th insurance agency acquisition for Bollinger in recent years, the firm said. With more than 400 employees, the broker has branch offices in Greenwich, Conn.; New York; Philadelphia; and additional New Jersey locations in Moorestown, Vineland and Wall.
