The South Carolina Captive Insurance Association said that hot issues for captives will be the topic of a new Webinar on July 26.
The Webinar, which SCCIA said is part of a series, is titled "Captive Tax: Hot Button Issues for the IRS and How to Prepare For Them." It will take place 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. EDT, and participants must register by July 21, SCCIA said.
The interactive, online presentation will cover trends being seen in recent Internal Revenue Service audits, including those challenging premium deductibility and addressing federal excise tax liability and steps that can be taken to prepare for them.
Presenters are Gary Bowers, partner,
Johnson Lambert & Co, LLP; and Julie Robertson, Partner, Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn, LLP.
