Brown & Brown said it has acquired Meridian Group of New York Inc. and Eberhart & Company Insurors Inc. of Roswell, Ga. Financial terms of the transactions were not released.
Meridian Group, with annual revenues of approximately $1.3 million, provides life, health and other employee benefits products and services to individuals, businesses, public entities, nonprofit organizations, unions and associations throughout New York State.
The principals of Meridian–Ross W. Kraft and Andrew F. Biernat–and their staff will combine their operations into Brown & Brown of New York's Rome, N.Y. office, under the leadership of David Carello.
With revenues of approximately $1 million, Eberhart Company has helped fill insurance needs for individuals and businesses in the Atlanta metropolitan area since 1969.
Ralph Eberhart and Wanda J. Eberhart–the principals of Eberhart Company–and their staff will join Brown & Brown Insurance of Georgia's existing office in Duluth, Ga., under the leadership of Clayton L. "Clay" Collins Jr.
