I received notice this week from Karen Yotis, Community Manager for the LexisNexis Insurance Law Community, an interactive website for insurance professionals, that I had been nominated for quite an honor.
"Each year the ILC honors a select group of insurance blogs that set the online standard for our industry. I'm pleased to notify you that 'A View From The Press Box' is one of the nominated candidates for the LexisNexis Top 50 Insurance Blogs of 2009," she wrote to me in an e-mail.
Here is where you all come in. "We are inviting the insurance community to comment on our list of nominees," Ms. Yotis noted. "If you'd like to request that your readers' support your nomination, please ask them to comment on ILC's announcement post at this link."
She wrote that "to submit a comment, log on to your free web center account. If you haven't registered on ILC before, click here. Registration is free. The comment box is at the very bottom of the page. Fill in your name, type in your comment, and press "Add." Comments will appear a few seconds later. We've extended the comment period for nominations to July 9, 2010."
If you have time between now and then, log on and weigh in! If I make the list, it will help draw more readers, boost my traffic and expand the potential for more lively dialogue on industry issues.
