The board of directors of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) named David Brinkman chairman of the IICF New York Division board of directors.

Prior to his election, Mr. Brinkman served on the IICF executive committee, fundraising committee, and has been the chair of the grants committee for two years.

IICF Executive Director Betsy Myatt, said, "We all have great confidence in David's leadership. We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber and dedication at the helm of our foundation as we continue our growth. This is an important time for us as we launch our first New York, tri-state Volunteer Week in October. David's vision will position us for a strong future."

With 26 years of experience as an intermediary, Mr. Brinkman co-leads Aon Benfield's national origination team and oversees the delivery of Aon Benfield's service platform to prospective clients. He joined Aon Benfield in 1999.

"I am honored to be elected to help lead this important organization," said Mr. Brinkman. "We've made significant contributions to the New York, tri-state area over the past three years, but we're just getting started."

Mr. Brinkman succeeds Michael P. Fujii who served as chairman since 2008.

Peter Tucker, senior vice president, Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, was named to serve as IICF vice chair.

The IICF was established in 1994 and is completely directed and funded by the insurance industry. The foundation seeks to help communities and enrich lives by uniting the collective strengths of the industry to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership.
