Spencer Educational Foundation, Inc. has awarded the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) a $50,000 grant to develop enterprise risk management continuing education curricula for members.
"We thank Spencer Educational Foundation for its generous support of ERM education and look forward to the resulting enrichment of the discipline," said Mary Roth, executive director of RIMS.
RIMS said it will use the funds to move forward with several ERM educational programs, including webinars, coursecasts, online courses and interactive workshops.
Since 1980, Spencer Educational Foundation has awarded more than $4.2 million in scholarships and $2.2 million in grants to students pursuing degrees, and to universities offering programs in risk management and insurance.
