J. Michael Foley has been named president of Berkley Risk Administrators Co., LLC (BRAC), a subsidiary of Greenwich, Conn.-based property and casualty insurer W.R. Berkley Corp.
Mr. Foley succeeds BRAC founders Mark C. Tansey and Kenneth R. Hopkins. Each will continue in a consulting capacity with W. R. Berkley.
Mr. Foley has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined W.R. Berkley in 1995, and most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Berkley Medical Excess Underwriters, LLC since its inception in 2001.
BRAC provides insurance program management services to a variety of organizations, including self-insureds, captives, governmental entities, risk retention groups and insurance companies. It is also a nationwide third-party administrator of workers' compensation and property-liability claims serving workers' comp plans in 20 states.
