The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents is seeking nominees for four awards it plans to issue later this year.
The Alexandria, Va.-based association is seeking nominees for the 2010 PIA National Company Award of Excellence, Company Representative of the Year and Managing General Agency of the Year awards that will be presented Oct. 2 during a luncheon ceremony held in conjunction with the association's fall meetings in Traverse City, Michigan.
In addition, the inaugural 2010 PIA National Excellence in Social Media Award will be presented.
The 2010 PIA National Excellence in Social Media Award will be bestowed on a deserving PIA member insurance agency that makes use of social media tools to achieve the business goals of the agency.
The association said nominations for the Company Award of Excellence, the Managing General Agency of the Year and the Excellence in Social Media awards are made by individual PIA members, as well as by PIA state and regional affiliate associations.
Nominations for Company Representative of the Year are made by PIA state and regional affiliate associations.
The deadline for nominations for all three awards is July 16.
