DocFinity Heeds the Needs of Customers

"Our customer base, as a whole, has been involved in the development of our product and its future direction," Thumma explains. Based in State College, Pa., OIT offers enterprise content management solutions to a variety of industries, including insurance, higher education, financing, government, and healthcare. The company, which has been in business for 24 years, works with small carriers with no IT staff as well as multinational insurers with large technology departments.

They tend to look under the covers to get meaningful use out of an investment," he says. "We offer a solution that clients can buy and tie into the rest of their technology investment and really squeeze the juice out of it."

In addition to receiving recognition from customers for its products, OIT has helped clients earn their own awards for implementing DocFinity solutions. "During the last couple of years, our clients have been winning awards for their installations," Thumma says. "People are being recognized because they have pushed beyond just scanning paper and storing documents. They're leveraging what they have to get more meaningful use of the information."
