More than 140 insurance and technology professionals attended the 2010 Duck Creek Insurance Forum, which was held earlier this month near Charleston, S.C. The conference is an expansion of Duck Creek's user conference with a business track added featuring customer and industry experts.
The themes of the conference were innovation, customer retention and profitability. Among the customers speaking at the conference were Bob Buchanan of Auto-Owners Insurance and Steve Knoch of RSA Canada.
Other speakers included Deb Smallwood and Karen Furtado of SMA Strategy Meets Action, David Bradford from Advisen, and Nancy Watkins of Milliman. Each of these speakers focused their presentations on what insurers are doing to seize the opportunities as the market recovers and many position for profitable growth.
"Attending this year's Duck Creek forum was a great experience," says Smallwood. "I was able to witness the growth and diversity of their client base, hear positive client testimonials, meet with their extensive partner alliances and feel the overall momentum of Duck Creek."
"With this year marking our 10th year in business, we are delighted that many of our long term and new customers participated in our forum," says Doug Roller, chairman and founding CEO of Duck Creek. "The customer speakers addressed industry issues and how Duck Creek products fit in their strategies. It demonstrates the true long-term partnerships between Duck Creek and our customers."
"The addition of the industry speakers, particularly executives from some of our most established customers, enabled us to strengthen our conference from a business standpoint," says Steve Hall, president and CEO of Duck Creek. "Combined with the expertise from our employees and industry experts, we were able to offer our attendees information and strategies that were of immediate benefit to their companies."
