Two insurance industry groups said they will hold a conference on April 21 in East Elmhurst, N.Y. to identify the scope of fraud in New York State, and its impact on consumers and potential reforms
The New York Insurance Association, Inc. and the National Insurance Crime Bureau said the one-day meeting will be addressed by New York State Insurance Department Superintendent, James Wrynn.
Sessions will include an overview of NICB Operations, fraud and the property and casualty insurance industry with a focus on no-fault auto insurance, New York no-fault fraud, underwriting issues: rate evasion, internet policies and premium fraud and the law enforcement response.
Other speakers will include Queens County District Attorney Richard Brown and Insurance Information Institute President Robert Hartwig.
The conference is scheduled for LaGuardia Airport Marriott
