What does it take to keep people from being hurt on the job and get them back to work as fast as possible when injuries inevitably occur–all while treating them with respect and concern, and without busting your loss control budget?

To see how the best in the business handle such challenges, come hear a panel discussion featuring the three winners of last year's third annual National Underwriter Awards For Excellence In Workers' Compensation Risk Management.

The trio will share the secrets of their success in Boston at a session during the Risk and Insurance Management Society's annual conference. The panel on "Excellence In Workers' Comp Risk Management" will take place on Thursday, April 29, from 9:45-to-11:15 a.m.

The panel, moderated by NU Editor In Chief Sam Friedman, will spotlight the award-winning workers' comp risk management programs of:

o Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, represented by Stephen Truono, vice president of risk management and insurance, and NU's 2009 Champion.

o Snap-on, which received an Honorable Mention, represented by Dan Kugler, assistant treasurer of risk management as well as a RIMS board member.

o INTEGRIS Health Services, which also received an Honorable Mention, represented by William Wandel, vice president of risk management.
