Insurance broker Marsh said it has named Ricardo Brockmann chief executive officer of Marsh in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
Mr. Brockmann, who will remain CEO of Marsh Mexico, is a 30-year veteran of Marsh. He will report to Alex Moczarski, president of Marsh's International Division.
He succeeds Thomaz Menezes, who the has decided to leave "to pursue other opportunities," the company said.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Moczarski said in a statement, "Latin America is a key part of Marsh's growth plans. Ricardo's track record of success and extensive experience in the region will ensure that we are able to offer the market-leading services and solutions that our clients need."
Mr. Brockmann added: "I am excited about the opportunities for Marsh in Latin America and the Caribbean and I look forward to working with colleagues to deliver for our clients."
