The Insurance Educational Association announced the appointment of Judy Adlam as its chair and Louis H. Castoria as vice chair.
The Santa Ana, Calif.-based IEA, a provider of professional education, described Ms. Adlam, who is president and chief executive officer of LWP Claims Solutions, Inc., a California workers' compensation third party administrator, as an "industry innovator... known for both her focus on staff development and training and her track record for delivering programs that improve workers' compensation outcomes and lower costs."
Mr. Castoria is a partner with Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP. He chairs the firm's Specialty Professional Risks team and co-chairs its Securities Industry team. He has lectured extensively on insurance, tort reform and technology issues and has contributed to industry publications.
He was the first outside counsel elected to the board and has initiated strategic relationships between IEA and other educational and industry groups, IEA said.
Roy Little, President and CEO of the Insurance Educational Association said in a statement the new appointees "will lead our Board as IEA continues to forge partnerships and create other opportunities to expand our reach to new learners who can benefit from IEA's online self-study and other innovative offerings."
IEA focuses on workers' compensation, property and casualty insurance, risk management, disability management, and financial services course offerings.
