Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. said losses from the recent Chilean earthquake will likely be between $75 million and $100 million, net of reinstatement premiums, based on a preliminary estimate.
Losses from European Windstorm Xynthia and Australian hailstorms are expected to be less than $10 million, the Hamilton, Bermuda-based global insurer and reinsurer said.
