Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honor?, who commanded the Hurricane Katrina Joint Task Force, will speak at the Louisiana Department of Insurance Annual Health Care Conference on March 23, it was announced.

Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon said Lt. Gen. Honor? "is an expert in the field of crisis management and has a great deal of wisdom and experience to share with our conference attendees." Also among conference speakers is Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Secretary Alan Levine.

The annual conference will feature national experts debating possible health care reform measures being discussed in Washington.

Topics at the conference will include Louisiana's private insurance market, the state's health care delivery systems, a public-private partnership for long-term care, federal health care reform, and public-private hospital partnerships. Also on the agenda is the implementation of the Long-Term Care Partnership program in Louisiana.

The event is being held at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge, La.
