The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation said it will join this year with four universities to conduct eight training sessions for high school and junior high school business teachers.

Teacher and Guidance Counselor Institutes will be conducted in partnership with Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.; the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, Ark.; Mississippi State University, Starkville, Miss.; and Saint John's University, Queens, N.Y.

Last week the Foundation began this year's Insurance Education Institute schedule with sessions at The South Carolina Business Educators Association conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Teachers who are accepted into the program receive a scholarship covering all expenses with the exception of travel to and from the Institute. The scholarship includes: graduate credit/continuing education credit, room and board, classroom materials, textbooks, technology and university fees.

Griffith Insurance Education Foundation is an educational nonprofit organization that provides risk management and insurance education programs and resources for teachers and students, institutions of higher education and public policymakers.

All programs are developed and conducted by professors of risk management and insurance from the nation's colleges and universities.
