Acadia Insurance offers specialized coverage for medical professionals

Acadia Insurance now offers expanded property and casualty coverage for professionals who own and maintain medical offices and facilities throughout New England and New York.

The Acadia Rx Medical Office program serves the specialized property and casualty insurance needs of doctors, dentists and other allied health professionals. Acadia's program is designed to address exposures beyond professional liability by providing coverage for property and equipment and for general liability exposures inherent in running a business.

Grady cited a recent fact from the Bureau Labor of Statistics showing that healthcare firms are a vibrant and growing sector of the U.S. economy employing large numbers of workers in professional and service occupations. Together, these 2 occupational groups account for 76 percent of jobs in the medical industry. Grady emphasized that in addition to specialized commercial property coverages, the Acadia Rx Medical Office program offers business owners comprehensive workers compensation services including risk management and claims reporting.

Coverage extensions are available to handle larger medical equipment exposures. The program is available through all independent agents who represent Acadia Insurance and is subject to applicable underwriting guidelines.
