I posted my first video on NU's Web site today, part of a monthly series of interviews on "Serving The Modern Consumer" with the top execs at Astonish Results, talking about digital marketing for independent agents. Check it out at http://property-casualty.com/astonish/Pages/default.aspx, and read on for more about this fascinating firm.
Later this year, we'll be running a comprehensive story in NU about Astonish Results, but for now it's suffice to say that I came away very impressed following a recent demo of their products and services at our Hoboken office, which led to our multimedia partnership that bears fruit on our Web site (www.property-casualty.com) this week.
These guys remind me of the performance artists I had the pleasure of seeing last month, called "The Bad Boys of Ballet." They put on a show at the Joyce Theater in New York, "Rock The Ballet," in which classically trained dancers choreographed some of the most exciting dance numbers I've ever seen to rock songs ranging from Prince to Queen to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Even though all their moves were familiar (at least to anyone who has seen more than one classical ballet, or even most modern dance companies), the fact that they changed the tempo to a more upbeat, heart-thumping, foot-stomping, rock and rolling theme made all the difference in the world. While I always hear someone snoring at a regular ballet, I guarantee you that no one fell asleep at this performance!
I got the same vibe from the folks at Astonish. Their firm attempts to propel independent agents into a quantum leap when it comes to online marketing, sales and service.
Their pitch is not simply new tech tools, but an entirely new culture in which nothing is beyond the capability of the technophobes who still run too many agencies today. These guys actually make insurance fun, which is no easy feat!
We'll run a more in-depth feature story down the road about their firm and their approach to revitalize agency marketing with the latest tech and social media options, including interviews with agents using their service. But for now check out our video interviews with Astonish over the next few months to whet your appetite.
In the meantime, rock on!
