C.V. Starr & Company (California) announced that Michael Garrison, a senior vice president with another branch of the parent firm, has been appointed its president and chief executive officer.
The company said Mr. Garrison joined Starr Technical Risks Agency Inc (Starr Tech) as a senior vice president in 2006 and was based in London to expand Starr Tech's overseas presence.
He returned to the New York office of C.V. Starr & Co. Inc. in 2008 and has been responsible for the Starr Tech brand overseas, including onshore and offshore energy, property, construction, and terrorism.
San Francisco-based C.V. Starr & Company (California) is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of C.V. Starr & Co. Inc, providing specialty casualty insurance to classes including commercial construction, residential contracting, specialty lines excess and public entities. The firm is also a managing insurance agent.
