The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. said it has named David Louie its Industry Professional of the Year.
Mr. Louie will receive the award on Jan. 28 at the association's annual Metro Regional Awareness Program in Brooklyn, N.Y.
A PIANY member since 1984, Mr. Louie is president of David J. Louie Inc., the largest insurance agency serving New York's Asian community. He served as a member of PIANY's MetroRAP committee for nearly 15 years. He also served as a member of the New York City Advisory Council.
Mr. Louie is a founding member of the Chinese American Insurance Association and served for 10 years as a member of the New York Automobile Insurance Plan.
