Aon Corp. insurance brokerage said it has named attorney Mark Herrmann chief counsel of litigation and vice president.
Mr. Herrmann, 52, a published author and blogger on legal topics, most recently served as a partner in the Chicago office of the law firm Jones Day.
Chicago-based Aon said his 25 years of experience has focused on civil litigation, claims for product liability, securities fraud, consumer fraud and false advertising.
Mr. Herrmann is author of the book, "The Curmudgeon's Guide to Practicing Law," and he has maintained a blog on "Drug and Device Law."
