The Independent Agents & Brokers of America's Agents Council for Technology (ACT) will be host a free Web seminar titled "Protecting Independent Agent Clients with Secure E-mail Using TLS (Transport Layer Security)."

The seminar will be held on Jan. 13 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. EST.

The event will be moderated by ACT Executive Director Jeff Yates. He will be joined by Jim Rogers, director of distribution technology for The Hartford and Tim Woodcock, president of Courtesy Computers.

The first 30 minutes of this Webinar is designed for agency business leaders and explains the risks of unsecured e-mail and how TLS works. The second 30 minutes will be a more technical discussion on TLS implementation and will cover implementation on Microsoft Exchange servers, with emphasis on the advantages of using the 2007 server.
