ISO Commercial Lines and Modeling vice president Beth Fitzgerald has been elected to the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Board of Directors for a 3-year term. ISO vice president John Kollar, who served as CAS president the past year, now assumes the role of chairman.
CAS advances the study of actuarial science applied to property, casualty and similar risk exposures; to establish and maintain standards of qualification for membership; to promote and maintain high standards of conduct and competence for the members and to increase the awareness of actuarial science.
Kollar is vice president of the ISO department that develops ISO's insurance programs for personal lines, rating plans for commercial lines and increased limits factor tables for all lines of insurance.
Kollar focuses on activities designed to move CAS forward as it approaches its 100th anniversary in 2014. He recently signed a multilateral treaty that launched a global risk management credential, Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst, to address the need for highly qualified risk professionals globally, especially in the financial sector.
Fitzgerald is responsible for ISO's insurance lines services for commercial auto, general liability, commercial fire and allied lines and specialty commercial lines, including business owners, management liability and crime.
