The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America said it has named a director for its federal government affairs staff as well as a vice president.
Lauren Cialone will serve as senior director of federal government affairs and John Prible was promoted to vice president of federal government affairs, the Alexandria, Va.--based trade association announced.
IIABA said Ms. Cialone was previously employed as a legislative assistant and financial services staff member for Rep. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., a member of the House Financial Services Committee. She also worked for Senator Evan Bayh, D-Ind., a member of the Senate Banking Committee.
She joins the association following Tom Koonce's departure to head the Mortgage Bankers Association's government affairs staff.
Mr. Prible joined IIABA as assistant vice president for federal government affairs in 2006.
Mr. Prible was previously the director of government affairs for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. He worked for former Rep. Darlene Hooley, D-Ore., and former Rep. Jim Davis, D-Fla.
As the senior legislative assistant to Rep. Hooley, Mr. Prible helped draft several key pieces of financial services legislation, IIABA said.
