Aon Corporation said it has launched a new company named Inpoint to provide insurance carriers with advisory and information services focused on market selection, growth and operations.
The firm can help insurance executives "gain an edge in today's difficult environment," said Gregory C. Case, Aon Corporation president and chief executive officer in a statement.
Mr. Case said "Aon has a unique vantage point to understand trends and behaviors within insurance markets," coupled with an "unparalleled ability to collect and analyze transaction data across tens of billions of dollars in premiums."
Inpoint, Aon said, will help insurance carriers through multiple products and services, including:
o Market segmentation and growth strategy: Identifying new segment growth opportunities and developing practical strategies to capture them.

o Pricing and underwriting: Delivering an understanding of underwriter decision-making and pricing at the detailed segment level, including by industry, product and geography.
o Claims operations: Enabling operational efficiencies, accelerating recovery rates and improving loss payout performance.
o Cost and operational excellence: Benchmarking operational performance metrics for continuous improvement.
o Ongoing insights: Providing data that enables unique visibility into the market.
Aon said Inpoint is led by industry executives and experts, including Michael R. Access to Aon global resources has already enabled Inpoint to deliver "unmatched facts, insight and expertise to over 30 carrier clients globally," Aon said.
