A webinar reviewing the current Medicare Secondary Payer law and exploring the coordination of benefits, post electronic reporting is scheduled for Sept. 23, noon-1:00 p.m. EDT, according to the Risk & Insurance Management Society.

The presentation, sponsored by RIMS New York Chapter, will review the requirements and penalties associated with non-compliance of Medicare & Medicaid Schip Extension Act (Section 111) and the registration for electronic reporting, including a discussion of who is a Responsible Reporting Entity.

The session will conclude with a discussion of potential contingent liabilities associated with the new reporting requirements and a brief overview of the coalition working to change the law, RIMS said.
