Partner Reinsurance was the champion in an 11-team Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) softball tournament, hosted by Aon Benfield, it was announced.
IICF said the July 30 reinsurance industry event in New York's Central Park raised over $40,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City.
"IICF seeks to pool the resources and talents of the insurance industry to give back to our community, and this is a great example of the industry pulling together to make a significant difference in the lives of children in New York City," said Bill Ross, IICF chief executive officer.
"We are grateful to Aon Benfield for inviting us to partner in this event and to all the other companies who participated to make this important donation possible. We know that this grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC will provide mentoring that will change the futures of many children in New York," Mr. Ross added.
In addition to Aon Benfield, the contributing teams came from Allied World Reinsurance Company, Arch Reinsurance Company, Aspen Re America Inc., Endurance Reinsurance Corporation of America, Everest Reinsurance Company, Munich Reinsurance America, Inc., Odyssey America Reinsurance Corporation, Partner Reinsurance Company of the U.S., Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance, Inc., and Transatlantic Reinsurance Company.
