Grady B. Campbell, vice president, property and casualty marketing for Motorists Mutual Insurance Company, was named chairman of The PIA Partnership.
Mr. Campbell has 20 years of marketing, field and management experience with Columbus, Ohio-based Motorists and other p&c insurance companies, according to an announcement. At Motorists, he is responsible for marketing auto, home and business insurance through a network of more than 4,000 independent agents in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan and Indiana. In addition, he is responsible for independent agent recruiting, licensing, advertising and corporate communications.
Founded in 1996 with start-up funding from the Alexandria, Va.-based National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, the PIA Partnership participants' focus is to identify areas that enhance the success of professional independent insurance agents.
Company representatives and agent volunteers meet to identify specific areas of opportunity, determine an approach to develop those opportunities and then create practical hands-on tools for agents.
Insurers participating in The PIA Partnership include: Central Insurance, Erie Insurance, Hanover, Harleysville, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual Agency Markets, MetLife Auto & Home, Motorists Insurance, Progressive, State Auto, Travelers and Zurich.
"We are pleased to congratulate Grady Campbell on being elected by his peers to this key position of leadership," said PIA National Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Leonard C. Brevik. "The PIA Partnership will benefit from Grady's talent, marketing expertise and dedication to the success of professional, independent insurance agents."
