Clements International said it has named J. Christopher Beck as president of the company.
Prior to Mr. Beck's appointment, Jon Clements was the president for the majority of the past decade, a company spokeswoman said in an e-mail. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Robert Clements, who started the company in 1947 with his wife, M. Juanita Guess.
Mr. Clements is now the chairman and chief executive officer of Clements International and promoted Mr. Beck to assume his duties as president.
Previously, a senior vice president of the Washington, D.C.-based company, Mr. Beck has led the sales divisions of Clements International since 2000, according to the carrier.
Clements International provides insurance for expatriates, international schools, multinational businesses and relief organizations.
