Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, named Henry Keeling president and CEO of international operations, effective August 1.
Keeling will chair Guy Carpenter's International Board and will be responsible for its operations in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Asia Pacific, Australia and Bermuda. In addition, he will be responsible for all Marine and Energy, Aviation and Retrocession businesses globally.
Keeling started his career in London and spent 19 years in the Lloyd's and the London market as an underwriter and broker. Keeling joined Mid Ocean Re in 1993 and, prior to the firm's merger with XL Capital, was promted to president and chief operating and underwriting officer. He held the position of chief executive of Global Reinsurance Operations for XL Capital from 1998 to 2005 and was appointed chief operating officer in 2006, a position he held until 2008. Most recently, Keeling was an operating partner of Stone Point Capital LLC.
