In an effort to help its independent agents grow, Travelers has launched AgentU, which the company says is a three-pronged approach to agent education: classroom, virtual and field-based.
The company said the platform provides multiple opportunities for learning through traditional classroom instruction, online classes and regional seminars.
"Agents look to us for training," said Nancy Fitzgibbon, vice president of enterprise training at Travelers, in a statement. "AgentU provides educational options designed to help agencies grow their business."
"In these economic times we're proud to be investing in our agents by creating a training solution that's available 24/7 and is fast and easy to use," said Patrick Kinney, president, field management. "AgentU provides agents with multiple options so they can choose when, where and how they want to learn, and most importantly, maximize their sales opportunities."
Travelers said AgentU, which is only available to appointed agents, is a comprehensive training program custom-designed to meet the training and continuing education needs of Travelers' agency partners.
On the Web site agents can search for courses of interest to them by criteria such as business, agency role (CSR, principal or producer), course topic or keywords. There is also a listing of the courses under the three different course models. Once an agent finds a course, they simply enroll or launch the course immediately.
