PMSI, a specialty products and services provider for the workers' compensation market, announced the appointment today of Paul DiFrancesco as president of its Medical Services and Equipment division.

The Tampa, Fla.-based concern said Mr. DiFrancesco was most recently employed as president and chief executive officer for AutoOne Insurance, a specialty auto insurance company owned by OneBeacon.

Eileen Auen, PMSI chairman and CEO, said Mr. DiFrancesco "will provide significant insight and thought leadership that will help us further enhance our client relationships, technology infrastructure and product offering."

As a division president, the firm said, Mr. DiFrancesco will be responsible for managing the financial performance of the business, growth, innovation and enhancement of the operational infrastructure to achieve the Medical Services and Equipment business' short- and long-term goals.

His team will include Sally Harris, vice president of operations, who has held senior-level leadership positions with FCCI and Intracorp over the course of her 30-year career in the workers' compensation market.

PMSI provides specialty managed care services and products for workers' compensation; an integrated portfolio of clinically based services in pharmacy, medical services and equipment; and settlement solutions providing care for injured workers and helping clients contain costs and control utilization.
