Jeffrey D. Kelly, a former executive with National City Corp. has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. replacing Fred Donner.
Mr. Kelly, at National City, was a CFO and then vice chairman from 2004 until he retired in 2008. He was serving as chairman of the Investment and Capital Committee of Progressive Corp.
The company said Mr. Donner has resigned for personal reasons in order to return home to the United States, but will stay on as an advisor to the company until the end of September.
Mr. Kelly, who will be based in Bermuda, will also join the Company's Executive Committee.
