Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., said it has acquired Walker Taylor Agency of Wilmington, N.C. Transaction terms were not released.
Gallagher said Walker Taylor Agency is a retail insurance brokerage with 18 employees that offers risk management and property-casualty insurance services to their mid-size to large commercial and personal clients throughout the United States.
Walker Taylor, said Gallagher, specializes in the life sciences, technology, coastal property and other complex casualty business. The firm dates back to 1866,
The agency's principals, Walker Taylor III, Walker Taylor IV, Katherine Taylor and their associates will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of Mitchel Brashier, Southeastern regional manager of Gallagher's retail p-c brokerage operation.
