Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. announced today it has been recertified as an effective employer for attracting, developing and keeping the best staff by Employer of Choice, Inc. consulting firm.

The Memphis, Tenn., based firm said The Employer of Choice designation is granted to employers demonstrating implementation of best practices in attracting, developing and retaining outstanding people.

The certification is for two years rather than the customary one year term. Sedgwick CMS noted it has maintained uninterrupted standing as an Employer of Choice since its initial certification in 2004.

Joyce L. Gioia, chief executive officer of Employer of Choice, Inc., said, "Retaining Employer of Choice certification for an extended period requires not only outstanding evaluation results but also continuous improvement."

"Sedgwick CMS has improved its standing in virtually every category used by our independent panel to benchmark the health of employee/employer relationships and workplace practices.
