The Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc. said Kenneth Auerbach has been named the organization's Professional Agent of the Year.
Mr. Auerbach is managing director and general counsel of the E&K Agency in Eatontown, N.J. He will be honored for his contributions and commitment to the insurance industry, including his fellow agents, PIANJ and his community, the group said.
PIANJ said he is an active member of the group and president of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, which represents over 10,000 independent agencies and over 100,000 insurance professionals.
He was president of PIANJ in 2000-2001 and is currently a member of PIANJ's Government Affairs Committee.
Mr. Auerbach has received a number of honors in the past for his work, including the Distinguished Insurance Service award, PIANJ's Director of the Year award, and a presidential citation for his work on agent's compensation and disclosure issues.
The award will be presented at the joint business conference meeting of the PIANJ and PIA New York which takes place from June 7 to 9 in Atlantic City.
