The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) said today that Jacques Bonneau, president and chief executive officer of Ace Tempest Re USA, has been elected board chairman.
Mr. Bonneau was selected Wednesday at the association's annual members meeting, which also elected Pierre L. Ozendo, chairman and CEO of Swiss Re America Corp., as vice chairman and Michael Morrill, CEO and president of AXIS U.S. Reinsurance Company, as secretary-treasurer.
Patrick Denzer, chairman of Guy Carpenter, Americas, and John Ehinger, president and chief operating officer of Willis Re, were elected co-chair and co-vice chair, respectively, of the Council of Reinsurers and Brokers.
Executive committee members also were elected for the 2009-2010 administrative year. They include: Jacques Bonneau, Ace Tempest Re USA; Henry Klecan, SCOR; Anthony Kuczinski, Munich Reinsurance America; Franklin (Tad) Montross, General Reinsurance; Michael Morrill, AXIS Reinsurance Company; Pierre Ozendo, Swiss Reinsurance America Corporation; John Rathgeber, Arch Reinsurance Company; James Veghte, XL Re America; and Theodore Walker, Partner Reinsurance Company.
Mr. Bonneau has served as president and CEO of ACE Tempest Re Group since July 2005 and heads the company's global reinsurance segment.
