Marsh insurance brokerage said it has appointed Flavio Piccolomini as chief executive officer of Marsh Italy and Emanuele Cordero di Vonzo as general manager of its Italian operations.
Mr. Piccolomini joins Marsh from Willis, where he was CEO for Continental Europe. He served at Willis for 18 years and held a variety of senior positions at the firm, including global head of Financial Institutions, Professional Risks, and Mergers and Acquisitions in London before returning to Italy in 2004.
In his role as general manager for Italy, Mr. di Vonzo will be responsible for Marsh's business management and development activities in Italy. Previously, Mr. di Vonzo was head of Marsh's Risk Management Practice in Italy.
