Greenwich, Conn.-based TigerRisk Partners, the reinsurance broking and risk/capital management firm formed last year, announced that modeling expert Jayant Khadilkar has joined the firm as partner.

The privately held concern was created by Rod Fox, former chief executive officer of Benfield Inc. brokerage, and Jim Stanard, former CEO of Renaissance Re.

Mr. Khadilkar, the firm said, will provide TigerRisk clients with analysis and quantification of catastrophe risk, insurance risk and capital management services.

Mr. Fox, TigerRisk CEO, said, “Since first helping to pioneer cat modeling at AIR in the early 1990s, Jayant has been one of the foremost innovators in insurance and financial management technology. Jayant and his team will provide extraordinary value at a time when clients need personalized attention and innovative solutions.”

After joining RenaissanceRe in 1994, Mr. Khadilkar was in charge of companywide cat/risk modeling, including the development of the company's proprietary exposure management system. Until recently, he was president of RenRe Investment Managers, Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of RenaissanceRe Holdings.

“One of my main reasons for joining TigerRisk is the opportunity to work again with Jim Stanard, the founder of RenaissanceRe, as well as Rod Fox and the team of professionals they have assembled at TigerRisk,” said Mr. Khadilkar.

“The current financial crisis is presenting new challenges, and at TigerRisk we are able to help our clients understand their risks and manage them in a proactive manner” he added.

TigerRisk was formed in February 2008 as a division of BMS Intermediaries.
