The Ascensus division of Roseland, N.J.-based wholesale insurance broker Crump Group Inc. has acquired Baden Retirement Plan Services from Clark & Wamberg LLC.
Baden Retirement Plan Services is a third-party retirement plan administrator with offices in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, Ind. It serves 1,500 plan sponsors in 48 states, primarily in the Midwest.
Ascensus is an independent record keeper and administrator for retirement plans and regulatory consultant, plan document services and participant enrollment support.
"Adding Baden to our retirement services division is consistent with Crump Group Inc.'s strategic intent to enhance both our scale and diversity as a leader in the financial services marketplace," said John Howard, Crump Group Inc. president and chief executive officer.
The current management structure of Baden, along with its existing employees, will remain with the business and operate as a separate unit within Ascensus.
