Kristof Terryn was named chief operating officer for General Insurance for Zurich Financial Services Group.
In this newly created role, the Zurich, Switzerland-based insurer said he will focus “on managing the operational performance for general insurance thus enabling general insurance to leverage its global scale for local customer delivery by building upon the technical excellence and moving towards truly global operations.”
Mr. Terryn will be based in Zurich, reporting to John Amore, chief executive officer of general insurance.
Mr. Terryn was COO for global corporate, and was previously the group head of operations, planning and performance management. He joined Zurich in 2004 from McKinsey's financial institutions' practice.
