Insurance broker Brown & Brown said it has acquired two insurance agencies, one in Louisiana and the second in New Mexico. Terms of the deals were not released.
The Daytona Beach, Fla.-based broker said it acquired Alexander & Bolton Inc. of Alexandria, La., and Charter Insurance Services Inc. of Albuquerque, N.M.
Alexander & Bolton, founded in 1890, with annualized revenues of approximately $1.3 million, focuses on property-casualty and life and health insurance for individuals and businesses in Louisiana.
Roscoe A. Bolton, chairman of Alexander & Bolton, and his staff will continue at their current location as a division of Brown & Brown's existing Lafayette operation.
Charter Insurance Services, with annualized revenues of about $1.1 million, focuses on property-casualty insurance for individuals and businesses in Albuquerque and throughout the United States.
Helen Wertheim, president of Charter, and her team will combine their agency operations with that of Brown & Brown's existing Albuquerque office.
