Chicago-based consulting firm Bridge Strategy Group LLC announced today that former insurance, executive, regulator and trade organization leader Ernst Csiszar has joined Bridge as insurance industry director.

Mr. Csiszar was most recently the chief executive officer of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI). In September of 2006 he abruptly resigned the trade group amid rumors of conflict with members.

He took his PCI post in October 2004 after resigning as president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and as South Carolina insurance commissioner.

More recently, Mr. Csiszar taught at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina as a clinical professor in insurance and risk management and also served as special assistant to the dean on the school's initiative to found a study center for risk and uncertainty management. He is a member of the board of directors of Coral Gables, Fla.-based specialty contracting firm MasTec Corp.

Bridge said Mr. Csiszar will advise the firm's insurance and reinsurance clientele on regulatory, strategic and financial issues. He will also assist clients in other industries in developing and implementing innovative and result-driven risk management solutions.

Stephen E. Sheridan, Bridge's president and a founding partner said Mr. Csiszar's experience as a leader in public and private sectors “will enable many of our clients–insurance and reinsurance clients in particular–to enhance the value of their business.”

“I look forward to developing the strategies and partnerships which will enhance Bridge's expanding insurance practice,” Mr. Csiszar said.

Bridge Strategy Group LLC is owned by Satyam Computer Services Ltd.
