London-based insurer Beazley Group plc said it has named Martin Bride as group finance director.
Mr. Bride, 45, joins Beazley from Zurich Financial Services where he was chief financial officer of the U.K. life business.
Prior to joining Zurich, Mr. Bride was CFO of Aviva Franc. He has also held senior level finance and general management roles in insurance as well as directorships at Soci?t? Fonci?re Lyonnaise and Union Financi?re de France Banque.
Mr. Bride will take up his position by the second quarter of 2009. He takes over from Andrew Horton, who joined Beazley as group finance director in 2003 and was appointed chief executive in September.
