The Louisiana Insurance Department announced it is holding a meeting Tuesday in Baton Rouge, La., where national and local criminal, judicial and insurance experts will discuss insurance fraud topics.
Sponsored by the department's Louisiana Automobile Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority, the Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Select in Baton Rouge.
Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon and Lt. Allen Carpenter with the Louisiana State Police Fraud Division will address the session. Sacramento County, Calif. Superior Court Judge Gary Ransom is the keynote luncheon speaker.
Session topics are Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud Overview; New Fraud Trends: What Do We See Happening in the Future in Fraud?; Combating Insurance Fraud; National, State and Local Initiatives for Fighting Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud; and Criminal Prosecution and Insurance Fraud.
There will also be several exhibitors.

All Louisiana resident property and casualty producers and adjusters who attend can earn up to seven hours of continuing education credit.
