New York-based ReSource Pro, an insurance process outsourcing firm, said it is holding a conference Oct. 31 in Qingdao, China to help clients figure out innovations to make their insurance agencies successful in the year 2015.
The company said it is working with futurethink, a New York research and consulting firm, to create a program that will enable its clients to identify roadblocks that hinder innovation and create practical solutions.
After the meeting ReSource Pro said it will form an innovation advisory board. Dan Epstein, ReSource Pro chief executive officer, said, "The ideas generated during the conference will benefit our clients and the industry as a whole, and the advisory board will ensure we maintain our momentum."
The company said it will present plans for the advisory board structure during the conference, gather input from the participants and then complete the composition of the advisory board.
Qingdao, China is ReSource Pro's data processing operations center. The firm provides customized insurance processing solutions ranging from policy checking and loss summaries to billing, certificate issuance, reconciliation and claims reporting for insurance program managers, managing general agents, and brokers and agents.
The innovation sessions, the company said, will include a series of practical exercises to help insurance leaders strategically select the tactics to create their own innovation road map for 2015.
Participants will be divided into teams to explore a number of questions, including:
o What skills will employees need to have?
o What will the key competitive differentiator be in 2015?
o What will drive value?
o What will continue to require a human touch (and can't be automated)?
o What would have to change to achieve a 50 percent increase in operating margins?
The teams will share their ideas, refine their vision and then list three specific, tactical initiatives needed to start operating more efficiently and make their vision a reality, it was explained.
